In 2020, we began a partnership with Five Star Mechanical to bring some new life to their web presence. Their previous website was simple, yet not user-friendly, and it was in need of updated content and an overall facelift.

The primary goal of the website was to showcase and highlight the top level culture and safety of Five Star. The secondary goal was to make the site a digital sales person by highlighting capabilities and product partnerships. Overall, we wanted to build a custom theme to highlight the visuals of their brand (check out the pipes design in the background!) and design pages to house content in an attractive, easy-to-read format.

To accomplish Five Star’s primary goal, a new “Safety” tab was added to the main menu. The prominent position of this page communicates the importance of the safety theme to the company (it’s one of their core values, after all!) and provides one landing page for updates on the topic. The page highlights safety partners and safety programs, and even mentions the role that their Safety Coordinator plays on the Five Star team!

To help meet the secondary goal, we focused a lot of our efforts on creating individual pages for each of Five Star’s primary services. Customers will often do all the learning they can on a website before even considering a company for their project, so offering as much information and imagery as possible on these pages will ultimately lead to more business for Five Star (digital sales person? Check!) We also developed a Projects page to showcase recent projects, featuring project photos and specs of the installation. 

Five Star is working to update the culture of the industry, starting with themselves. That turned out to be our favorite part of the whole partnership: getting to help a company like Five Star adapt their culture for the better of their clients, employees and industry.

The end result is a user friendly, robust site that conveys culture items and highlights Five Star’s capabilities and products.
